The masters at work.
The masters at work.
Sailrite and seamstress (Paul) what a winning combination.
Karen kept us (ahem) Iain well fed.
Amazing what you find left on your boat (a gift from Jan and Rod).
It fits.
Brock gets a well needed clean.
Its Christmas time. Mistletoe and wine.
The white stretches off into the distance.
We go offroad.
There are peacelovers in the Algarve.
Rolling, rolling, rolling.
Lovely lovehearts, created by the lovely Fiona.
Neolithic man squeezed along here.
Iain shows he hasn’t got what it takes to be a caveman.
The eerie convent starts off being quite eerie.
The eeriness increases as we venture inside.
The scale of the place makes Fiona small.
An eerie forest, full of black tree’s surrounds the eerie convent.
The treasures of the convent are found in the church.
The hills undulate into the mist.
Yay. Waterfall.
Expat central.
Morning morning.
Just to prove we were there.
Ruffian is down there somewhere.
The sun pops out over the horizon.
The light makes everything photogenic.
The terraces cover every hill face.
Apparently, autumn has arrived (just in time for Christmas).
Water cascades through a mountain spa town.
Reflections on the beach.
Some places are only accessible at low water.
Iain contemplates the way forward.
Another view of more boats.
Even the Brompton needs a rest sometimes.
The lagoon wildlife includes unexpected flamingo’s.
We’re pleased a dyke kept us above the bogs.
The romans built their villa’s in some top spots.
Fiona with her cow defending stick.
Finally, a late, late lunch.
The lagoon relies on old technology to keep in the flat water.
That is a sundowner.
The sun sinks after an amazing day.
Dinghy safari.
The usual ‘car park’.
Dinghy wheels. We love ‘em.
Beaches, sunshine and company. What’s not to like.
Iain tries to get arty.
Paddling in December and the feet don’t go numb.
The sewing machine is happy and so is Fiona.
