Fiona is really into her ‘culture’.
The windward side is quite different from the leeward side.
Penny for your thoughts.
Looking down on the anchorage.
What great gate posts.
The fort offers protection in all sorts of ways.
Stonehenge, Menorca style.
Buildings from the stone age are built to last.
What will Fiona find in the ruins.
Fingers crossed that lintel isn’t old and rotten.
Hmmmmm. Seafood.
Flat, fast road biking.
The fort is explored.
The welcome isn’t very welcoming.
It goes on and on and on above ground.
It goes on and on and on below ground.
Fiona keeps a sharp lookout.
Is Iain the chosen one?
So much exploring to do.
Nature slowly takes over the parade grounds.
The prison bars keep people out.
That is one seriously big gun.
Larry’s not happy with his role of Llama cannonball.
Iain and Larry get ‘enrolled’.
Phew. The new engine clamp is fitted.
We’re now off-road.
These things dot every corner of the island.
Some have scary stone age tunnels.
Looking up on civilisation.
Menorca has its very own breed of horses.
The horse is somewhat more photogenic than the rider.
Any gate. As long as it’s spindly and wooden.
Calm nights flatten the water.
Ruffian finally sits still.
More ruins to explore.
The wildlife flutters around us.
Iain emerges from the deep.
The island is slowly eroding.
Fiona gets busy on the surface.
