Lining up on Ruffian
Lining up on Ruffian
All looks good from the air.
Perfect and gentle.
Thankfully Nery takes away all our upholstery.
Ruffian's saloon is in chaos.
Ruffian's pilot berth laid bare.
Ruffian's aft cabin is uninhabitable.
Our emergency fix marks the fracture.
The pain is palpable.
The rubbing strake that used to be on the side.
The fracture impacts every part of Ruffian.
Our new home nestled in the jungle.
Home sweet, non floating,home.
The grinding begins.
Its got to get worse before it gets better.
Seeing daylight is a bad thing.
Nice and upright.
Morning callisthenics motivates us.
The joy of removing cables.
This shows the force of the impact.
We are not in a happy place.
Just keep grinding. Just keep grinding.
Day after day the repair gets bigger.
A hole and a half.
And something else breaks. Another item on the list.
Our home is turned into a sail loft.
Happy sewing on Cushla's awesome machine.
We create a little production line.
The first layer of fibreglass goes on.
Both outside and in.
Glass on, grind off.
More making good.
Where has the hole gone.
The deck is looking deck like.
Fiona loves plumbing as much as Iain.
Land base life brings responsibility.
