All ready for the off.
All ready for the off.
This’ll be our last sight of land for a while.
Friends on Matsudona are hot on our heels.
The ocean is not so empty on our first night offshore.
Sails are up.
Cape Verde behind. Suriname in front.
You’ll be the last ship we see for 1000 miles.
Day after day we sail into the sun.
Happy sailing. Happy Iain.
Fiona knows the way to Iain’s heart.
Anything to stop the evils of chafe.
Hmmmmmm Cake.
Cake smells soooooo good.
That’s a sign of rain on a biblical level.
The only way to brew coffee on a rolly boat.
We never tire of the sunsets.
Our renewable energy needs topping up.
Fast and easy.
Shackles are not meant to be that shape.
Zoooooom.
Weed puts a stop to our towed power.
The fish are safe when all we catch is weed.
Ahhhh a morning brew in the sunshine.
When will the weed stop.
The magic of offshore satellite communication.
Fiona cooks the most amazing bread.
Time passes and we get competitive.
We roll one way, and then we roll the other.
Go ocean sailing they said. It’ll be fun they said.
Ampie makes up for time when the water is clear.
Easy easy miles.
Day after day of lazy sailing.
We have a hitchhiker.
Anything to slow Ruffian down.
We have to avoid these guys all night long.
Final days, final sunsets.
We’re approaching another country and another continent.
Navigating the not so scary entrance.
These things would be impossible to avoid at night
There is a sting in the tail with only 2 miles to go.
Books, books, books. Nearly a whole libraries worth.
